She Brings The Rain

She Brings The Rain is my comic spirit quest in the post-industrial landscape of Dayton, Ohio.

I was only going to be in a couple of pages of The Adventures of Ashley Plath, but they took my "character" (Melissa Grace Wright) and started a spin-off called Grace and Danger. When the Ashley Plath stuff finished, I took over and gave it a new name, She Brings The Rain, which is the title of one of my favorite songs.

Here is the original description:
"Grace and Danger is a series featuring Melissa Grace, the character Ashley Plath met outside the Brompton Oratory in Series 1 of The Adventures of Ashley Plath. Melissa lives in Dayton, Ohio and inhabits her own world. Grace and Danger is about her mystical states and her struggle to reconcile  the physical and the spiritual. She seeks the horizon where Mother Earth meets the Queen of Heaven" 

I'm also working on a series of portraits based on Russian icons and a group of imaginary polaroids.
